The Applications of Infographics: a Bibliometric Analysis

Short Description

Infographics are a visual design tool that conveys instructional content quickly. Yet, there is a methodological and analysis gap in the literature on infographics. This presentation fills these gaps through a bibliometric analysis of peer-reviewed research publications tracing the term’s emergence, the disciplinary popularity of the media, and the specific concepts instructed with infographics by discipline. The citation analysis and science mapping results will be presented. Following will be a discussion of practitioner implications.
