Short Description

This qualitative study explored 20 preservice teachers’ reflections on their learning beliefs, and perceived challenges and opportunities of immersive virtual reality (IVR) integration after a hands-on activity. Participants found IVR to be valuable in transforming passive learning to active and learner-centered learning, and has potential to increase accessibility, equity, and flexibility of learning. However, some challenges such as difficulty monitoring student actions in IVR, concerns about overstimulation for students with disabilities were also identified.
