Formal learning environments often provide limited space to support students’ cultural development. I share an illustrative case of how students develop understanding of their own culture through engaging with multimedia projects over the school year. I specifically highlight one theme of perspective taking as I noted across cases. This study has implications for understanding how youth develop relationships with culture and how technology-based activities can be designed to engage youth with culture.
