Short Description

Research in AI Technology (ChatGPT), Social Network Analysis, Learning Analytics, Educational Text Minding, Data-Driven Instructions, & Blockchain/Microcredential has emerged in recent educational technology areas. The authors believe AI will transform education in both positive and negative ways. As instructional design practitioners, we must continue to evolve our practices to provide authentic, learner-centered learning assessments. AI writing and creation tools will undoubtedly disrupt current practice. By understanding how technology works in real situations, we hope to find ways to circumvent the negative and accentuate the positive. Presenters in this session share their ideas, perceptions, applications, practices, and research in these topics.
