Full Session: Special Session

Short Description

Speaker: Dr. Punya Mishra, Arizona State University

In this keynote, Dr. Mishra will describe his personal journey across education, technology and design: A journey that spans his initial encounters with graphical user interfaces to the emergence of the World Wide Web, and from the proliferation of social media to the ascent of generative AI. While tracing the evolution of his thought and work—from the TPACK framework to the 5 SPACEs for design in education—he will underscore the paradox of consistently adapting yet somehow still being left behind in the technological landscape. The talk will culminate with reflections and propositions concerning what we, as a collective field, must ponder as we look to the futures of education and learning.
