Short Description

Please join us for the ETR&D awardees’ presentation by this year's distinguished awardee!

Dr. Lee has been working on the study and design of STEM learning experiences with an emphasis on supporting teaching and learning with data, AI literacy, elementary computer science education, and science teaching and learning. His work has been influential and cutting-edge, as also documented by many other awards he has received, including, for instance, as the recipient of an NSF CAREER Award, of the AERA's Jan Hawkins Award, and of a National Academy of Education/Spencer Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship. His work on data literacy and data science education from over a decade ago has gained increasing interest and popularity given the national and international push to include data science education in K-12. Most recently, he has been launching a number of generative AI and education activities including the CRAFT co-design project, survey studies on changes in cheating and teachers' concerns about generative AI in schools, and seed grant programs. Dr. Lee will present his recent work in the interdisciplinary field of educational technology research and development!
