Tue, April 17, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Vancouver Convention Centre, Floor: First Level, West Room 116&117

Abstract

The research described in this paper examined the impact of three attributes of e-mail solicitations on rate of response to a web-based survey: timing of the message, name of the sender, and the subject-line message. The effects of these three conditions as they relate to sample demographics, survey initiation and dropout, and completion by response wave will be discussed. Following the presentation, the audience will be to discuss how these three attributes might be applied to solicitation messages for electronic surveys.
