The bornlearning Academy: Impact on Fostering Parental Engagement at Home Toward School Readiness

Abstract

This paper describes and examines the effectiveness of bornlearning™ Academy, a parent education program designed to assist parents in engaging young children as part of everyday routines, on increasing parents’ understanding of their role in the education process of their children as it relates to school readiness. Results from the surveys indicate the bornlearning™ Academy was successful in having parents apply what they learned from the program at home with their children and in increasing parents’ understanding of their role in the education process of their children.
