This study investigated the effectiveness of Q methodology, particularly, the digitized version commonly referred to as FlashQ as a gateway to gleaning insights into the connection of beliefs held by teachers at an International Baccalaureate School (IBS) aligned with the IB learner profile which is considered to be “the central tenet of the IB programmes” (International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), 2006). A Q factor analysis revealed the emergence of two factors which were termed “The Affective Staff Member” and “The Balanced Risk Taker.” The results of this study will serve as a viable professional development tool for future planning at the university-based IB Primary Year Programme (PYP) School highlighted in this study.
