Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the results of a year-long initiative in which teachers were focused on integrating technology into a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) curriculum. Specifically, the purpose of this study, is to examine the extent to which teachers who were engaged in the project are (a) familiar with mathematics- or science-specific technology, (b) comfortable integrating mathematics- or science-specific technology, (c) believe that the use of technology for supporting teaching mathematics or science is important, and (d) are able to use other ICT to support mathematics or science teaching and learning. Results suggest many teachers were not familiar or comfortable with the various content-specific technologies that are available for supporting mathematics or science teaching.
