Abstract

This paper outlines the clinical testing of twelve simulations designed for school leader preparation contexts. Building from the medical education pedagogy of standardized patients, we highlight the use of standardized individuals in school leader simulations. Specifically, we outline the construction of twelve live, one-to-one simulations between novice school leaders and standardized parents, students, teachers, and community members. Data resulting from the clinical testing process include suggestions for iterative design prior the field testing process.
