Abstract

In this paper the innovative Learning in Depth (LiD) program (Egan, 2010) will be described and the distinctive forms of teaching it requires will be outlined. A research study that involved semi-structured interviews with 10 LiD teachers will be reported and its results analyzed, and implications for appropriate forms of teaching within the LiD program will be inferred and discussed. Reflections on the results of this study with the initiators of the program will also be reported.
