Teacher Efficacy and Perspectives on Disabled Students’ Future Trajectories: Using Research to Facilitate Quality Education Outcomes

Abstract

The study examines how knowledge derived from an interagency collaboration between the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, and a research team from a local University will be used to enhance the quality of special education services in Barbados. At the heart of the study is the idea that research ought to serve the public good through informing public policy, teacher preparation and practice. In this paper we extract the findings teacher efficacy, and teacher’s perceptions of their students’ future trajectories in Barbados.
