Indian Leadership, Education, and Development Project Assessment

Abstract

The Indian Leadership Education and Development (I LEAD) grant supported a proposal aimed to recruit, train, graduate, certify and place Native American candidates to become school leaders. A summative assessment on the second grant was conducted to evaluate the I LEAD program’s effectiveness in meeting project objectives and targeted performance measures. Results show that the project objectives as they relate to the performance measures were met and exceeded targeted numbers. Further research is needed to determine candidate satisfaction.
