The scandal of world hunger and economic inequities dividing the north and the south threaten the peace of humanity. The purpose of this research is to explore how the ‘option for the poor’ paradigm can be a path of solidarity in communicating peace education. This qualitative investigation used multi-site ethnography through interviews of 45 respondents from 33 Catholic institutes in the Philippines. Data findings demonstrated that the ‘option for the poor’ paradigm could be an essential pathway to transform structures of inequities towards the promotion of peace. A recommendation of this study is the challenge to educational institutes to recover the ethos and logic of giving and sharing as the framework for collaboration towards justice and peace.
