Employees, trainees, market participants as well as the general public have to cope with an increasing internationalization and globalization of economic exchange relations on the markets for goods, services and labor, but also with the increasing importance of knowledge within the workplace processes and the progressive use of information and communication processes. These processes urge an adaptation of the present workforce to the changes of work structures (cf. Scott & Reynolds, 2010; Malloch, Cairns, Evans & O`Connor, 2011): 21st Century skills for the workplaces are required. The paper is dealing with psychometric models of skills and competencies necessary for successful performance in both workplace-learning situations as well as in everyday life.
