Abstract

American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) success (degree/certificate completion) and transfer to four-year institutions is explored for students attending two-year Tribal Colleges (TCs) or two-year Native American-Serving, Non-Tribal Institutions (NASNTIs). Interviews were conducted with institutional representatives from 29 two-year tribal colleges and 19 two-year NASNTIs to collect baseline data on the state of AI/AN student success and transfer and to identify institutional policies, practices and contexts that support student success.
