Sat, April 14, 2:15 to 3:45pm, Vancouver Convention Centre, Floor: First Level, East Ballroom B

Abstract

College students comprise a high risk group for sexual assault. Universities nationwide offer websites that are dedicated to providing information and counseling about sexual assault and how victims can receive help. This content analysis examines sexual assault service websites from 10 large state universities in the United States. Findings indicate that these college websites vary from being comprehensive and interactive, to having no sexual assault site available at all. Implications for improvements to college sexual assault service websites are provided and directions for future research are discussed.
