Abstract

Two state consortia have embarked on a process to try to create assessment systems in which summative, interim, and formative assessments are coordinated. We intend to investigate whether the results of student and school growth generated from multiple assessments converge or diverge from each other, and how the comparisons help states integrate results of summative and interim assessments to build a comprehensive data system that best serves their students and schools.
