This mixed-method study examined predictors of life and work satisfaction among male elementary education teachers. Experiences of 80 men from across the U.S. were examined. Results indicated work satisfaction, life satisfaction, and social support at levels comparable to normative samples of men. The multiple regression model predicting life satisfaction was significant (F = 5.04, p < .001), explained 39% of variance, with conflict between work and family, social support from family, and perceived job skills being significant predictors. The model predicting gender-related work barriers was also significant (F = 3.62, p < .001), explained 29% of variance, with conflict between work and family and job skills being significant predictors. Implications and directions for future research are provided.
