Abstract

The purpose of this study is to synthesize the quantitative findings of the observed effects of educational intervention studies using DIT-2 by utilizing a meta-analytic technique. Using two selection criteria, twenty-five studies were included in the preliminary analysis. The results indicated the weighted average of 20 effect sizes was 0.169 with a standard deviation of 0.05. This indicates little positive intervention effect on moral judgment measured by DIT-2 N2 score. The chi-square test of homogeneity of effect sizes rejected of the null hypothesis and this implies that true effect sizes vary across studies. The estimated between study variance with the current available data is 0.03. Additional analyses investigating moderating effects with random-effects model will be needed with the completed data.
