Abstract

This poster describes the potential contributions that the constructs of work hope and possible selves make for designing career counseling interventions and for better understanding possible career-related factors associated with academic engagement and achievement among urban minority youth. This poster also presents an example of a career counseling intervention that emphasizes the aforementioned constructs. Lastly, this poster illustrates the significance of present and potential future findings on practice with urban minority youth.
