Abstract

This article presents a mixed-method case study of a computer-assisted intervention in which middle-school students learn mathematics through game design and development activities. The study focuses on two key questions: (1) Does participating in computer math game development promote mathematics learning and positive attitudes toward mathematics? (2) What specific aspects of the game design and development activities promote mathematics thinking and learning?
