Image-Based Pedagogy: Enhancing Critical Reflective Practice in Teacher Education Through Teaching Technology and Image Space

Abstract

This paper will draw on inter-institutional research between two teacher training programmes in Ireland to examine how new teaching technologies can be combined with an image-based pedagogy in teacher education to foster a more organic and authentic reflective practice in students. Preliminary qualitative data from staff and students will be discussed in relation to improving teaching and learning in teacher education.
