Students with disabilities are attending college in increasing numbers and make up a significant portion of the population of college students. Despite the fact that one out of ten college students and far more college eligible students are identified as having a disability, a recent study found that less than 1% of the articles published in top higher education journals were on students with disabilities or on disability related issues (IES, 2006; Pena, 2011). The present study will address the dramatic lack of literature and lack of inclusion of this population of students in research on college access. This study uses nationally representative datasets to examine how disability and social class impact college access for students with learning disabilities.
