Online sources have become the preferred way to access the library for many academics and researchers. However, locating information in online sources can be difficult when looking for specific information or when trying to do a comprehensive review. Difficulties arise in locating information about giftedness due to the variety of ways it is defined and linguistically expressed. The Pearl Harvesting Information Retrieval Methodological Framework was explored in the present study to facilitate information retrieval on the topic of giftedness. Fifty search terms on giftedness were located and were able to locate the same, plus extra studies in comparison to two relevant meta-analyses. The set of terms, now documented, can be shared with anyone looking for research information on this topic.
