ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) Literacy in Macau Primary Education

Abstract

ICT literacy is considered as an important skill in most countries or regions including Macau. This paper intends to find out how the schools in Macau primary education cultivate students’ ICT literacy in terms of planned curriculum and teachers’ adoption of ICT in classroom. It is found that students in Macau primary education have limited learning experience which intends to foster ICT literacy. A call for cultivation of ICT literacy is necessary in Macau primary education as students are emerging in ICT environment both in school and at home.
