Previous research suggests that faculty on HBCU campuses are more likely than their PWI counterparts to engage students in certain educationally purposeful activities, both in and out of the classroom. However, there have been no studies documenting the differences in faculty practices between HBCU and PWI faculty. At this session, we will present findings that begin to address this gap in the research literature, and engage participants in discussion regarding how to most effectively move forward with this research.
