Abstract

Student veteran enrollment in post-secondary schools has sharply increased in recent years, yet, there has been little research devoted to this segment of the college population. This paper adds to the scarce research on student veterans by reporting on findings from the third annual Student Veterans’ School Experiences Web Survey. The web survey collected data on 134 student veterans’ military experiences (e.g. rank, branch of service, level of services, etc.) and their academic achievement (GPA). A breakdown of student veterans’ academic achievement by their military experiences and the significant differences based on military experiences will be presented.
