Abstract

This paper documents an attempt to assess the impact of a laptop computer program by looking closely at technology's impact on disciplinary activity, classroom interaction, and student learning. Through a series of open-ended ethnographic interviews and classroom observations, we explore student and faculty goals and whether or not they are met in instructional settings.
