Leadership Speaks: A National Survey of Catholic Primary School Principals

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to explore and understand the needs, perceptions, and attitudes of a nationally representative sample of U.S. Catholic primary school principals. This nationwide, first-ever survey of U.S. Catholic school principals provides a clear and nuanced understanding of their needs, challenges, and leadership insights. Such knowledge forms the foundation for targeted dialogue, responsive professional development, and strategic action planning—all dedicated to sustaining and strengthening Catholic schools.
