Relationships Between District Climate and the Development of Professional Learning Communities in Schools

Abstract

This paper presents the results of research on district climate and the development of professional learning communities in schools. This study utilized an exploratory, survey research design by the administration of two surveys in a sample of southern schools. The research reviewed for the study was presented in articles published in refereed, scholarly journals and publications. Preliminary results from this quantitative methods study show relationships exist among district climate and the development of professional learning communities in schools.
