Addressing continued interest in understanding the research to practice gap, and in the tradition of analytic inquiry using papers presented at the 2011 AERA session “Understanding and Supporting Student Health” to examine current challenges in supporting linkages among education, health and human services, we sought to explore evidence of dissemination of recommendations supporting those linkages from a corpus of research published over a decade ago. We found that recommendations made a decade ago continue to apply- and moreover they apply in different country contexts, and in different institutional contexts, with different locus of focus. We conclude that there has been dissemination of knowledge that in formation of linkages: leadership matters, organizational contexts matter, political context matters, and coordination matters.
