A Critical Practice Framework for Examination of Special Education Policy Appropriation in Local Contexts

Abstract

This paper frames key issues surrounding the use of a critical practice approach in the analysis of special education policy appropriation, and presents recommendations for the application of this framework to the design and implementation of research inquiry on RTI and efforts to eliminate disproportionality in local contexts.
