Abstract

Boston Public Schools and AKCEL at The University of Akron partnered to research BPS teachers’ use of blended online PD as a way to improve classroom instruction. Through a pilot course involving teachers from two different middle schools, a variety of data was collected to determine the viability and effectiveness of this new method for delivering PD. Data showthat teachers’ content knowledge improved and satisfaction was high. The authors believe that the level of professionalism by the teachers was key to the success of the study.
