This study aims to quantify improvements in career maturity. The data used in this study are drawn from the KYPS (Korean Youth Panel Survey) that recorded 3,449 students’ responses from 2003 to 2007. The results of the five multidimensional modeling strategies, including Andersen’s model, Embretson’s model, linear LG-IRM (Latent Growth Item Response Model), piecewise LG-IRM, and quadratic LG-IRM, showed that career maturity continues to increase slightly over time on average. The negative correlation between baseline career maturity and the growth rate suggested that lower career maturity is associated with larger improvements. In addition, the comparison of the model fits of the three LG-IRM models suggested that the growth trajectory of career maturity is not linear.
