Service-Learning as a Graduation Requirement: What Do Students Think?

Abstract

Many universities now require a minimum number of service hours as a graduation. At the same time a number of universities include service-learning as a co-curricular activiy without building a campus wide culture to sustain it. This study investigates students' perception about service-learning as a graduation policy. The students come from two universities that represent the two categories mentioned above.
