This paper describes case studies conducted in a multi-site, multi-method evaluation of a statewide Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) program. Site visitors used systematic observation and interview protocols to conduct four visits at each of nine schools. Preliminary results suggest that students and teachers had access to technology but levels of use were generally low. Teachers used document cameras and Smart Boards to present information but had not significantly changed their teaching strategies. Student technology products were most often Power Point presentations, slide shows, or movies to present knowledge. In few cases did student products require higher-level engagement with technology. The final paper will present an in-depth analysis of findings and include recommendations for future research and improved program implementation.
