Taiwanese higher education has experienced a rapid expansion since the late-1980s. This study aimed to examine the effects of Taiwanese higher education expansion on university wage premium during 1999-2007. The difference of educational wage premium between genders, employment sectors, discipline, and between undergraduate/ postgraduate degree were also be analyzed. The dataset of MUQLS was used to construct a quasi-panel data over the 1999-2007 periods; linear regression analysis was used for analytical purposes. The empirical results found that educational wage premium exist for higher education in Taiwan, and there were gender gaps in wage premium. However, the gender gaps are narrowing in recent year.
