While there has been attention to the adoption of gaming technology in a variety of environments, limited data exists on the adoption of games in school libraries. This proposal presents survey data collected from individual school librarians gauging their personal use of games (with a focus on digital games), games use in their libraries, and perceived barriers to the widespread adoption of gaming technology in their libraries. Along with the survey data, potential approaches to game adoption are discussed.
