Sat, April 14, 4:05 to 5:35pm, Vancouver Convention Centre, Floor: First Level, East Ballroom C

Abstract

Through a multiple case study of RTI implementation in four elementary schools and one secondary school from two different districts in two different states, we seek insights into the ways in which RTI impacts schools and the educators who work in them. We use information gathered through interviews, focus groups, surveys, and observations of student data team meetings to explore the challenges associated with implementing RTI as well as to highlight the requisite conditions for successful implementation. This study adds to the knowledge base on the impact of RTI on school systems.
