Teacher burnout is a serious issue. Not only can it detrimentally affect the success of a teacher’s career, it may also have a profound influence upon the quality of students learning experiences. In this study, 1111 elementary and high school teachers from China rural area were tested with an instrument designed to measure five key dimensions of job burnout: physiology, cognition, emotion, social and value. We used full-information bifactor analysis to check both the uni-dimensional and multidimensional models of the instrument. The results reveal the multidimensional model as the better fit. However, the factor loadings on the instrument are less than perfect. A few items need to be removed, and the dimensionality should be considered because of weak sub-domains loading.
