Development of Tactile Test Items Using Haptic Development Research

Abstract

This paper describes the development, field-test, and revision of a tactile analog to the Boehm—3 Preschool (Boehm, 2001), a downward extension of the Boehm Test of Basic Concepts. Current haptic research guided the test adaptation and will be discussed in this paper, along with knowledge gained from the field test and subsequent revision of the tactile analog.
