Sat, April 14, 10:35am to 12:05pm, Vancouver Convention Centre, Floor: First Level, East Ballroom C

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present the story of two teachers’ collaborative research about their teaching practice. The teachers teach in preschools that are implementing the Reggio Emilia Approach. The story of the teachers’ collaboration is told in their own voices through their reflections on their collaboration and its fit with Reggio Emilia. The teachers found that for them collaboration based on mutual trust and respect, as well as a commitment to collaborating, helped them to design and conduct a study that was richer and deeper than what either of them might have done individually. While the teachers learned together, the narrative and digital story they produced represented their individual voices and individual understandings of the research.
