From Knowing What Is Better to Doing What Is Best! Patient-Centered Interprofessional Education: Evaluation of a Campus-Wide Implementation

Abstract

The objective of this study is to present a multi-tiered evaluation plan for a longitudinal Interprofessional Education (IPE) team-building project that is integrated into the preclinical and clinical training of health professional learners at a major medical campus. The evaluation plan includes the collection of quantitative and qualitative data to assess the components of the IPE Project.This proposal provides the program evaluation plan for a project co-funded by two foundations. The purpose of the funded project is to develop a longitudinal, inter-professional and team building curriculum that is integrated into the preclinical and clinical training for all health professional learners at a major medical campus in order to impact collaborative patient centered care.
