State of the States and Provinces, 2012

This session will be an interactive symposium/town meeting allowing many participants to join the discussion of the political and economic climate affecting schools in the US and Canada.

The purpose of this proposed symposium is to gather expert representatives from the 50 states and the Canadian provinces to discuss current legislation that directly affects the financing of schools. Topics may include finance reform initiatives, budgets and allocations, recent policy decisions, recent school finance litigation, and other related issues. Participants submit a written paper which is posted on the SIG website.
