Cultivating Action Research: Preservice, In-Service, and Graduate Studies

Abstract

Cultivating Action Research will assist participants in designing, implementing, and refining action research studies that focus on some aspect of their own educational practice as teachers and professors, teacher educators, program directors, and administrators. The co-directors will draw on two decades of experience and research on promoting and supporting action research studies done by pre-service teachers, veteran teachers, and doctoral candidates in education. This one-day course is suitable for educators and researchers preparing to launch new action research-based programs, re-animating existing programs, and for veterans of the action research approach who seek a community of practice.
