Session Submission Type: Symposium
This symposium brings together four educational studies that explore how academic literacies index different meanings with specific participants, contexts, and purposes in the disciplines of mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. Specifically, the presenters signal an inclusive social practice approach that considers the successful preparation in academic literacies of students who are adding English to their linguistic repertoire.
