Creating and Maintaining Successful Education Partnerships

Abstract

This course will describe the steps of developing an effective education partnership. The workshop will accomplish this by using examples of successful partnerships from the University of Wisconsin and tracing them from the idea stage through implementation. Problems will be identified and strategies for solving those problems will be shared. Participants can have a partnership idea in mind, or a partnership in progress and our staff will help put those ideas into a successful partnership framework, or participants can come with just an interest in developing partnerships and outreach work. Additionally, this workshop will touch on translational research and helping to build bridges between university based research and education stakeholders such as educators and community agencies.
