Session Submission Type: Working Group Roundtable
This working group will focus on expanding upon knowledge about university-school partnerships and their implications for contributing to school reform and the experiences of children, families, and communities. Presenters will identify critical themes from their work and the possibilities for developing a responsive research agenda, relatively absent from this growing area of inquiry, that advances our ability to support and effect change in and with schools, specifically as these relate to school organization, curricular change, pedagogy and practice, and family involvement. Participants are interested in the ways in which partnership and collaboration occur, how they are sustained, how they challenge or re-inscribe the status quo about who has power, and how to eliminate such re-inscribing when and if it occurs.
